Design Intent
The process of Urbanisation has taken Mumbai towards being a Globally connected Metropolis. An ever-increasing need for global network connectivities and hence the pressure on its functioning has made it necessary for a new Airport to come up such as to share the current load and the futuristic need of Mumbai. The upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport project will also help bring a boost to the economy, employment, and housing in Navi Mumbai and promises a positive growth impact on the MMR region. The aim was to create a Walled smart city with amenities ready for the future. The proposed design based in Navi Mumbai, consists of conceptually placed High-income group, middle-income group, and low-income group housing typologies, designed in intricate polygonal shapes, to ensure that each usable space is carefully tended to. The programs included are residential towers, lavish bungalows, large recreational zones, shopping centers, and commercial spaces.
