ATL LINK aims to connect communities left under-served by Atlanta’s transportation and planning infrastructural systems. By retrofitting dead shopping malls along the perimeter of Atlanta, ATL LINK enables transportation and serves as an intermediary between the perimeter and the beltline and as a neighborhood hub for under-served communities - providing the architecture behind programming for recreation, education, urban agriculture, multi-modal transportation, and more. ATL LINK is exercised at three scales - 1. Urban - a new metro line with dead malls as stations, connecting areas barren to public transportation. 2. Neighborhood - a land use plan for large multi-modal transit hubs (link stations) as a seed for development at dead malls. 3. Architectural - developing a built proposition for our healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy city programming - via a novel transit hub community center.
